The charity caters for anyone over 50 who are resident in Belper or adjoining parishes. New residents can be accepted from 50 years of age.

The charity currently has two properties, the Matthew Smith Almshouses and Broadhurst House adjoining the Almshouses.

The properties provide a total of 6 separate residencies which includes some accommodation suitable for housing couples.

Both properties are within close proximity of Belper town centre and amenities including Shops Post Office GP and Dental Practices. 

There is a bus stop within 20 yards and both bus and train stations are close by.
